The Fable franchise is preparing for a major return with a new adventure set in the legendary world of Albion. Developed by Playground Games, the upcoming RPG is expected to combine the series’ classic humor and fantasy elements with a much larger and more modern open world. Players will once again be able to shape their own hero through choices, exploration and interactions with the inhabitants of Albion.

The new Fable is expected to feature a mixture of traditional role-playing mechanics, intense combat, exploration and a strong focus on player decisions. Iconic elements from previous games are also returning, including mysterious locations, magical creatures and the famous Demon Doors.

The game is currently scheduled to launch in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. With its combination of modern technology and classic Fable identity, the game is already one of the most anticipated RPGs on the upcoming release calendar.
